After many years of moving, God gave our church a building. It is located right in the center of the local community's life.
Surrounding us are hundreds of young families. We dream of reaching them with the Gospel. To move into this building and serve the community with it, we need to renovate it.

This time, the church gathered again for a work day to clean up the area around our new building. We collected trash, pulled weeds, cleared the grounds, and prepared the area for the next stage of work. After several hours of working together, the space looked noticeably cleaner and more welcoming. We are grateful to everyone who gave their time and energy!
During the work day, we completed many tasks that are helping prepare the building for the final stage of renovation. We cleaned up dust before varnishing, removed protective film from windows and doors, and cleaned the ceilings, restrooms, and tile. We also continued clearing trees and overgrown plants from the area around the building. Each of these tasks may seem small, but together they are gradually turning a construction site into a space ready for the church. We are grateful to everyone who is helping move this project forward.
Our first worship service in the new building is now just around the corner, making these final days especially busy. Together, the church has been preparing the building for this important occasion by washing the windows, varnishing the walls, and thoroughly cleaning the floors. What once looked like a construction site is gradually becoming a place where the church family will soon gather. We are looking forward to our first worship service in our new home!
Preparations for the first worship service in our new building are continuing. These days, we have been finishing the children’s rooms by installing new carpet. The rooms are now warmer and more comfortable for the children who will soon gather here for their classes. Just a few final tasks remain before the building is ready to welcome children and the whole church family. Our first worship service will take place here this Sunday!
Preparing the new building for the first worship service continues. This time, the men of Almaz Church worked together to install internet throughout the building. Their work will provide the connection needed for worship services, ministries, and the everyday life of the church. Another important detail is now in place, making the building more functional and ready to serve the community. There is only a little time left before our first worship service this Sunday!
The drywall partition has been completed in the worship hall where the future stage will be located. This marks an important milestone in shaping the main gathering space of the building. The next steps will include finishing work and preparing this area for its final design.
Installation of interior doors is underway on both the first and second floors. A portion of the doors has already been installed, giving the building a more finished appearance and allowing work to continue on the remaining interior spaces. Installation of the remaining doors will proceed according to the construction schedule.
The decorative wall finishes have now been completed throughout the building. The textured finish has been applied, and the interior is beginning to reflect its final look. All that remains is to apply a protective topcoat, after which this phase of the project will be fully completed.
Another volunteer work day took place on the construction site. This time, the focus was on organizing the outdoor area. The lawn was mowed, helping to give the site a neat appearance. The fence was also cleaned in preparation for future painting. Since this is not the first joint work day, participants quickly got involved and divided the tasks.
On the second floor, drywall partition installation is ongoing. Surfaces are actively being plastered and prepared for further finishing. At the same time, decorative solutions for wall surfaces are being coordinated. Test samples imitating concrete and travertine are being made to determine the final style and texture of the space.
Work continues on tiling the stairwell of the new building. The process is carried out in stages, gradually moving from one section to the next. The team is now approaching the completion of the current segment.
At the end of April, we completed the tile installation on the first floor — in the lobby, the gathering hall, on the stairs, and in the restrooms. The building is gradually becoming less of a construction site and more of a true space for church life. The visible progress inspires us to keep moving forward and reminds us that, step by step, we are getting closer to the day when we will open the doors of this new home for people.
In April, the church gathered once again for a volunteer work day at the construction site. We prepared the space for the next stages of renovation and prayed for the future home of the church community. Days like these remind us that construction is not only about walls — it is about people uniting around a shared vision. We are thankful for everyone who gives their time and energy to be part of this process.
In April, we also held a meeting with the leaders of our small groups. Together, we discussed the future of the church, talked about the growth of the community, and encouraged the leaders to guide people through this new season. The construction of the new building is not only about renovation — it is also about preparing the church for growth and for serving even more people.
After a long pause, construction work in the church building has resumed. This is more than simply a return to renovation work — it is a return to the vision God placed on our hearts. There are many challenges ahead, but even more hope and anticipation. We are encouraged to see the project coming back to life with renewed strength.
